Comfort Quilts

Proceeds from quilt sales help me create small, prayer-filled throw quilts for those facing illness, grief, or other life challenges—bringing comfort when words fall short. Each comfort quilt features a simple, traditional pattern, and carries family names. I keep several ready to share at a moment’s notice and a small team of praying friends helps pass them along.

From my mother, I inherited a little artistic and creative talent, along with a love for good books, reading aloud, baking, and spending quiet time with God. 

I remember my father's mother as a calm, steadfast homemaker. She loved to read thoughtful books and play card games with her grandchildren. She crocheted many, many afghans for her family and to donate to Red Cross disaster relief. 

My mother's mother picked up quilting late in life, but her real love was writing. She passed on some of our heritage through several memoirs and many, many letters to keep in touch with her scattered children, typed up on her faithful typewriter. 

My mother's mother's mother made some beautiful quilts in her lifetime, one of which got passed on to me - a Tree of Life. I remember her pet birds flying around her house when we visited. This quilt is to honour her memory.
