Comfort quilts are small, prayer-filled throw quilts for those facing illness, grief, or other life challenges—bringing comfort when words fall short. Each comfort quilt features a simple, traditional pattern, and carries a family name. I keep several ready to give away at a moment’s notice and a small team of praying friends helps pass them along.

My mother's mother's mother made some beautiful quilts in her lifetime, one of which got passed on to me - a Tree of Life. I remember her pet birds flying around her house when we visited. This quilt is to honour her memory.

I remember my father's mother as a calm, steadfast homemaker. She loved to read thoughtful books and play card games with her grandchildren. She crocheted many, many afghans for her family and to donate to Red Cross disaster relief.
